A UNESCO world heritage site, the Giant's Causeway is incredible. It is made of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns caused by an ancient volcanic fissue eruption. If you skip the visitor center (like we did) you can enter the site free of charge. Be warned, it is crowded. This was the most crowded place, besides Trinity College in Dublin that we visited. Pictures also just do not do it justice. Wear good hiking shoes as it is very slippery and you will have to climb...a lot!

It is a long walk to get down to the actual formations but it is very scenic. Just watch our for the tour buses!

We walked in and out of the rain, mostly got soaked on the way back up. It rains off and on just about every day here.

It was Hell to get this shot of me up here. Maybe it is just me but every time I leave the country the only rude people I run into are French. Seriously, I was pissed at the woman, who after we all took turns up here to take pictures literally muscled her way past the line of people waiting and stood next to me and refused to move waiting for me to leave so she could have her picture taken. NOT TODAY SATAN!
