Carrick-A-Rede Rope BridgeThis was the closest to feeling like we were back on our honeymoon in Maui during our 15 years of marriage. The water was just as pretty. The sea cliffs were majestic, the caves, the green, the flowers! We were just missing the warmth :)
The bridge itself is 66 feet long and 100 feet high and it is intimidating. Used as a fishing spot for salmon since 1620 but the first bridge was not built until 1755. You can read more about the history here. Our friends did not want to pay to cross the bridge and opted to hike to the view spot but my husband and I could not pass crossing over to the island. The views were to die for. This is another place I could have spent a lot more time at.
