Kayaking to Lemur Island
Adventure #2 for Girls Gone Wild Animal weekend was actually the thing that pushed us over the edge to make this trip happen in the first place. An animal encounter that included kayaking to an island inhabited by Lemurs! Luckily the water was much calmer and the distance much shorter than the one we did just the night before.
Once we landed we were briefed on Lemur protocol. We were not to pet the Lemurs but if they touched us that was perfectly fine. We could get in close with them, which really they got in close with all of us. They are super playful and quirky. The older male mammary glands keep growing so he has man boobs.
Those hands! Those eyes! That tail! Gahhhhhhh!
Seriously, this was one of the happiest moments of my life.
