Chalktoberfest is an annual festival that takes place in the Marietta Square. The streets are shut down while 95 artists complete original chalk art along the square amidst revelers also partaking in the beer and wine festival that is also a big draw for this event. This was my first year attending. I arrived at the beginning of the weekend long festival so I did not see the completed works. It was real cool but super crowded. I am not a crowd person, especially when I am alone but I am glad I went early in the day because by the time I left it was getting hard to move around. I would like to hit it next year on the second day so I could see the finished artwork.

The artists that had an end spot opted to make theie work more 3D and some had set up special viewing lenses.

My favorites were King Kong, the Wizard of Oz and Blade Runner.
