Austin in InfraredWhat a fantastic city. It was the perfect subject for my converted Nikon D50 IR DSLR. Actually, so perfect that is has renewed my interest in IR photography and has given me the needed push to make plans to knock a few more subjects I have wanted to capture for years in IR.
Feature above is the infamous "Bat Bridge" aka The Congress Street Bridge. At Dusk from March until October anywhere from 750,000 to close to 2 million bats (after the babies are born) take flight from their nest under the bridge. More on that later.
A very hot stroll through Zilker Park and across the foot bridge provided some amazing subject matter.
The above shot is by far my favorite of the trip and will be features in an upcoming show. More info on that as well later.
