We had a reservation for a cabin in the woods at one of the state parks. I was calling every day and when the shelter in place went into effect I thought for sure we were going to have to cancel. As luck would have it we were still able to go. The state parks remained open but with diminished facilities and lowered attendance allowed. We were able to check in and out contactless. Out of the cabins we were the only ones there besides the game warden. It was even better than being sheltered in place at home. We were even able to bring Sirius with us. He was a little weirded out. He did not like walking out on the back deck. He was scared of the slats. So funny!
I was able to view the sunrise and sunset from the top of Black Rock Mountain with barely another soul around. It was glorious.
We were hoping to see a bear but had to settle with a few wild turkeys.
I feel like that tree was trying to morph into a hippo!
I dusted off the lensbaby and managed to get a few pictures in.
As I write this post our Governor is announcing plans to reopen some business starting next week. I am ready for a patio.
