It almost didn't happen, thanks to a rainy start to the morning and 4 episodes of American Gods but we did it! I knew the rain was only going to hold off for so long and my dog needed to burn some energy. I scrolled through one of my favorite apps, Alltrails, and spotted a new trail nearby that even touted a waterfall. How did I never know this place existed? Seriously, if you like to hike, download the app pronto! It is free and has been a life saver when trails get confusing or I am trying to find somewhere new to explore.

Williams Mill Greenspace is close to Cherokee Bluffs. The trail itself is clearly marked in spots and then its not. I am definitely using this spot for portraits in the future. It is dog friendly and 18 minutes from my house. There is a pond, a meadow and a waterfall (which is mostly a shoals) and the small ruins of a mill. The one thing that is off putting is there a a house in the middle of the park. Maybe the groundskeepers? I don't know it is just weird.

There is a fantastic spot to watch the sunset at this park. I am looking forward to catching many more in the coming year. New Years Day hikes feel special. It is a great way to kick off the year with nature, fresh air and family time.
