Much needed paddle time was had over the long weekend. I have not been out on the kayak nearly as much this year and my mental health is suffering from it. We did get to paddle to a small island and hang out with some of our friends at their campsite at Sawnee campground on Lake Lanier close to the dam. I was amazed at how little boat traffic there was for it being a holiday weekend. I think the cooler temps kept everyone out of the water. The lake is still pretty warm but not hot like it was last year at this time.

Summer is just about over and fall can't get here fast enough. I can't wait for chilly nights, fire pits and haunted houses!
