I have been excited about this Cub Scout adventure more so than any other one we have been on.

Our pack spent the night at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta (the largest one in the states). We toured behind the scenes, witnessed exclusive feedings, had our own 4D movie experience, and the best part... sleeping in the Ocean Voyager room in front of the 6 million gallon whale shark tank.

Seeing the top of the tanks really puts a whole new perspective on the whole aquarium experience.

Andy was the best guide ever. He really made the experience fantastic. He kept a bunch of 10-11 year old boys completely engaged for 18 hours...that is no easy feat.

We did most of the behind the scenes things while the aquarium was still open to the public to avoid crowds but then the magic happened when we had to whole place to ourselves after hours. No fighting crowds for viewing space. Ample time petting the sting rays. Andy even found a ray's tooth and gave it to me!

This guy was my favorite. He was like a cat. He would search you out and come up out of the water to be pet.

The Beluga whales are exceptionally playful (putting on hats for us)

Everyone asks what the best part of the sleepover was. It is hard to say but my husband and I have to agree it was sleeping in front of Ocean Voyager. I could stare at all those 50k+ fish all night long (and I did)

Everyone wants to sleep in the tunnel but this is so much better! Trust me!
