There are many fairs... but only one gets the true title of "The Fair". At least for me.

It is the Gwinnett County Fair.

I have been coming to this fair since high school. I don't get to go every year.

This year I got to go WITHOUT MY KIDS!

This is the most fun I have had at the fair since before I had children and I used to be one of those unruly teens that I was surrounded by Saturday night.

It was a whole new dynamic.

We got to pet the animals and get our chocolate milk from the 4H Club.

I got to watch the "best in show" for Goats! You guys, I am obsessed with goats. This was the best thing ever!

I can listen to goats all day long!

I got to see the art exhibits and the produce competitions.

I got to browse the Carnie shops

I got to eat Fried Oreos, drink sweet tea and eat Brunswick Stew and Country fried Steak!

We saw a very detailed miniature train display.

This is Americana at its best.

The Miss Gwinnett Pageant was something else. Sparkly dresses, poignant questions (answered badly) pitchy singing, contestants storming off stage (drama!) old ladies, some of the best clogging ever to grace a stage, tears, and crowns. Can I just say w-o-w.
