Not All Those Who Wander are Lost

I have been reading this book. I pretty much keep it with me at all times.

I wander all the time, usually not aimlessly though. I thoroughly get the whole premise behind this. I need to remind myself to slow down and unplug from the world as often as possible. To even let myself be bored in nature in order to open myself up to what is actually going on around me and jump start my creativity.

I received my first secret mission in the mail and took it upon myself to double my efforts and set up not one but 2 wander stations so that others might discover the Wander Society, a secretive group that holds up the act of wandering, or unplanned exploring, as a way of life.

If I am not reading or running on my lunch breaks, I am wandering.

Joining is simple: You just decide to spend some time wandering, silencing your cell phone and exploring an area near you.

Though the Wander Society was not real before the book (unlike what the book would like you to believe) it has, in fact, become a movement and through it I have made a couple of new pen pals (yes real stationary and stamps pen pals). Wandering has become something my son and I like to do when we are on any kind of outing. We are always leaving our symbols behind for others to find. If you have a fondness for exploring, need a little inspiration or just to clear your mind check it out.

Solvitur Ambulando! (It is solved by walking!)
