This was hands down to most disorganized race/event I have ever attended in my life.

They had no one directing traffic and were funneling 6 lanes of traffic into 1 parking lot at Turner Field. Luckily I drove down to pick up the packet ahead of time because the line for race day pick up after waiting 45 minutes to park was another 45 minutes long. The race did not start on time (obviously) and there was no starting line! We did wait in line for 30 minutes for port-a-potties that had no soap or toilet paper.

We attempted to run the first 3/4 miles but it was so packed and had so many walkers you were just killing yourself to go around people. No cold water on the route and only one person...YES ONE PERSON to hand out all of the runners water at the 2 water stations they had and it was at 5:30 pm in Atlanta so it was 95 degrees! Even my daughter who can't help but run did not run this race.

To add insult to injury when you crossed the finish line there was no one there to give you your medal. You had to go over to a tent, that was absolutely mobbed and push your way in to get someones attention so they would hand you a medal. This also went for your glass of wine at the end of the race.

What do you do with all the disorganization? You take full advantage of it!

We ended up getting a lot of extra free wine and making some new friends.

Bringing up the rear on the added 1k wine tasting walk was the best decision ever. Seems no one wanted to cart the wine back to their cars so we got lots of heavy pours and even some full bottles to take home. To be honest I would never do this run again but we sure had a great time in spite of it all.
