Zero is not known for his cooperation. Yet he seems to be quite OK on the back of my kayak. I think he just likes being near me.

He decided to jump ship and swim over to Kathy.

All that swimming wore him out pretty quick. It was pretty adorable watching him swim around each of our boats hoping to land a spot on them.

The life jacket makes all the difference in the world. First of all it takes the pressure of swimming off of him and secondly it makes it 100 times easier to take him off and on the boat. If you are going to bring your dog with you I highly recommend a life jacket. Especially if your dog is older like mine.

Sunsets, dogs, kayaks and friends make for the perfect night out.
