Who doesn't love sliding down a rock waterfall?

Upon arrival we were told there was a snake spotted in the lower pool just minutes ago but they lost sight of it. After exploring around a bit and cooling off another snake was spotted near the base of the falls. We played lifeguard most of the afternoon keeping the smaller children from sliding into the spot where the snake was sunbathing.

This park is misleading at first. You park in a gravel lot adjacent to the playground. You would have no idea that there is a magical world beyond the playground and pavilion. Follow the concrete path through the covered wooden bridge. To the left of the bridge is a tree slanted out over the river that is covered with kids and adults jumping into the murky water. I am not a fan of jumping in a spot where I cannot see what lies beneath but enough people were doing this that I can only assume it is deep enough.

Once you pass through the bridge follow the bath to the left and you will come to the rocks. This is a really cool hidden spot the locals called "the redneck waterpark". The rocks are the perfect height for smaller kids as well as big ones.

Be sure to pack out anything you bring with you. There is no garbage cans down by the rocks. This is a very popular spot for locals so it was very crowded for such a small area but everyone was extremely polite and friendly and there was ZERO trash to be found anywhere. I highly recommend this place if you have small kids.
