This is our last summer in Cub Scouts. We wanted to do something big as a last trip and boy did we! We attended Space Camp in Huntsville, AL. I think the adults might have had more fun than the kids on this trip. We are so lucky to have a great group of parents and kids in our den that get along so well. These trips have made some of the best memories and created some great friendships. The best part of these trips is that us moms get to stay together and the dads are always left sleeping with the boys. I have grown to love my adult slumber parties with these women.
Pictured above was where we slept.
Did you know astronauts sleep standing up?
Above is a typical sleeping quarters in space.
How about a toilet?
The best part were all the simulators we got to do. From earthquakes to space walks to spinning out of control to shooting up into space like a rocket. Once in a lifetime experience.
We learned a great deal about the trials and tribulations of space exploration. I really enjoyed that portion, the kids did not. I think we all agree the simulators were the most fun. The IMAX movie was the best IMAX experience anywhere. All of us enjoyed that as well. I took a ton of pictures and if you would like to see more you can here.
