The Laurel and Hardy Museum

It kind of was a perfect day.

I told mom the last time we made this trip that if we took back roads we would drive by the Laurel and Hardy museum. She loved them growing up and I was always curious about it when I would see the sign on the side of the road.

Mom humored me, though I think she really enjoyed our little stops.

This place has a crazy collection of memorabilia and a theater showing old Laurel and Hardy movies.

There was also a plethora of weird shit that kinda gave me the heebie jeebies.

There were some ventriloquist dummies that reminded us of the collection my sister has when we were little. She was really into them. Howdy Doody and Mortimer Snerd were a couple I remember vividly. Wish we still had those, I could easily make a horror short with them.

It was a quick stop and it is free but they take donations. We left a few dollars and I bought a lapel pin and a post card for my pen pal. They had really awesome bowler hats for $5 but both me and my husband have tiny heads and I could not find one to fit. Bummer.

Bottom line, if you are passing through between Atlanta and Augusta on I-20 it is worth a stop.
