There are 2 blogs that I am completely addicted to. They could not be more polar opposite of each other. The common denominator is they both are women and both are incredible photographers and storytellers. They have been my inspiration to be a better storyteller. I am practicing these skills here.

Kaylah from The Dainty Squid put a call out for pen pals. One of her goals for 2016 was to send 150 pieces of mail. I happen to have a collection of random post cards, cards and a love to make handmade cards so I decided to send her some mail. The result... pen pals! She has sent me some fabulous post cards and even a Valentine with some tea. I am making it a point to write her once a week. Recently she posted some of her incoming and outgoing mail on her blog. My bat postcard was one of them. We are kindred spirits even though we have never met and there is like a 20 year age difference.

I recently met this artist at a convention. After chatting with him for a while he gave me this postcard to send to my pen pal. I thought it was hilarious and kind of appropriate humor for Kaylah. Funny thing is after the con I found out the artist is a friends brother. Small world!
