The Southeastern Railway Museum had a small festival of trees going on along with a Polar Express event. We were unable to obtain tickets to the Polar Express. It sold out months ago but I got free passes from the library to check out the museum and to see all the trees. I am a sucker for any festival of trees no matter how big or small.

When I was a kid all of these trains were in a yard and had not been restored yet. The museum did not exist. I used to urban explore (before that was a thing) in high school there. Many of the trains were riddled with bullet holes and blood stains. Obviously that is not the case in the museum. I wish I had pictures from back then (talking late 80's). I love this place. I have been a few times. It is just really cool to think about how the world worked back then. I really want to take a trip on a sleeper car train one day.
