Now that the holiday fun is winding down it's time to look back on the past year and reflect and look toward the coming year for inspiration.

Instead of just having a New Years resolution for 2016, I tried something new. I made a list of goals and posted them for the world to see (or the 5 people who read this blog) and hold myself accountable. Some I knocked out of the park, some I tanked.

Let's take a look.

* Print Pictures -I did print more pictures this year. Mainly because I did my first real family photo shoot and I blew some up and printed a ton of them to send out to family. I did purchase a Polaroid Zip printer and I have printed lots of little pictures off my phone to give to clients, friends or just to hang on my desk. I will check this off as completed and hope to keep it up.

* Shoot Film - I failed miserably at this. I have lots of film to shoot but sadly never actually did shoot any, let alone develop it myself.

* Blog More, Facebook Less - I totally blew this one out of the water. At one point I even deactivated facebook. Ever since I have been on it less. I posted most of my stories and pictures here and will continue this trend.

*Become a better Storyteller with my Pictures - With less FB and more blogging I think I have improved but this is a journey and I feel like I am only just beginning.

*Take a Video Workshop - I searched and searched for a video workshop. I am in the process of shooting my first trailer for a possible short/movie but I have much to learn. I recently discovered Skillshare. I hope to learn some video editing skills and shooting tips now that I have found a fun, easy and affordable source. This one will have to carry over but for 2016 it is a #fail.

*Make a Terrarium - I used an old fishbowl and learned that I needed much smaller plants and much less of them. Only one has survived but I did make it so it counts. I just received 3 glass hanging orbs and 5 air plants for Christmas. I am hoping to keep these little gems alive and be able to enjoy them placed all over the house.

*Ride my Bike on the Beltline - Totally did this! We rode from the Carter Library to Krog St Market then to Piedmont Park and back. I knocked out the main stretch I had been wanting to cover and got to see Ponce City Market too.

*Paddle 5 Rivers - I rocked this one! I paddled the Lower Broad, 4 out of 5 legs of the Chattahoochee between the Dams, The Dawson Forest section of the Etowah along with part of the Amicalola, The Chestatee on my birthday and the middle Ocoee in a raft.

* Hike a Different Trail Every Month - I was rocking this goal, sometimes hiking several trails a month. Then I went on a cruise, got hit with 2 bad illnesses, the holidays hit and another unplanned trip out of town. I have done some walking and exploring but no hiking in either November or December. This one was really important to me. *sigh*

Run a Half Marathon - Score! I ran two! The Star Wars Half in Disney super fun and the Hotlanta Half super hard.

*See More Local Plays - I could have done better with this one. I saw 2 local plays. Better than none but not at all what I hoped for.

*Visit 6 Historical Landmarks/Museums - I nailed this one. A few out of state and even one out of the Country! Hudgens Center, Southeastern Railway Museum, Laurel and Hard Museum, Fort Gordon communication museum, Wormsloe Plantation, Howard Finsters Paradise Garden, Unclaimed Baggage, and the Nassau Pirate Museum.

I really enjoyed looking back on what I accomplished and did not accomplish over the last year. I have big plans for 2017. Let's see if I can do better next year.
