Having a little boy has made me a Super Hero nerd. My personal favorite is Captain America. Swoon!

My son loves The Flash.

There was a Fan Fest scheduled in Atlanta featuring some of his TV favorites. I scored free passes and off we went.

We parked over at Mike & Pete's bar Elliot Street Pub because it is close to the World Congress Center, I can park for free and after I could pop in and say hi and grab a couple of the best sandwiches in the city before we headed back home.

In case you haven't heard. They are replacing the Dome (on the right) with a new retractable roof stadium (on the left). So parking anywhere around the Stadium, Arena or World Congress Center is limited with all the construction.

The big draw was Stephen Amell best known as "Arrow". I am a huge fan of that show. It crossed over a lot with The Flash so my son likes it too.

Sadly unless we were willing to pay an un-Godly amount of $$ to get our picture taken with him and wait in an even longer line we could not even get a glimpse of him unless we came back the next day which wasn't happening. Instead we opted to meet Aquaman, better known as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, Jason Momoa.

I am not a big autograph collector, unless it is Star wars, but if it had not been cash only and I already waited in line for an hour before I figured that out, I would have bought one from him. No pictures were allowed, he was doing separate photo ops and I was not paying $100+ to get in a picture with him. Instead we tagged along with Kate, the fan girl we met in the line and pretended we were all together so B could high-five him. He was really sweet and a little jealous that little man had a Flash action figure and not an Aquaman. He told my son he would soon win him over. I was not a big fan until I met this guy. WOW! First, he is HOT! I mean jaw dropping gorgeous. Honestly he looks 1000 times better in person and her already looks pretty good on screen. Second he was sweet and genuine. Not always something you get with celebrities. Waiting in line sucked but luckily we were toward the front and he was worth it.

My boys were not going to wait in anymore lines. We watched part of the Gotham panel, most of the Flash panel and part of the Guardians of the Galaxy panel. (wish Bradley Cooper was there for that one). Did some shopping. Shane and I bought patches, Brody got original FNAF art and I bought my niece a Christmas present. Snacked on some pizza and watched a bunch of Cosplayers.

Penguin is my favorite Gotham Character.

Alfred is a pretty awesome Gotham character too.

Fantasia Mickey and the dancing brooms were the best costumes of the day.

This wasn't my favorite con. It was not set up well and the price gouging was ridiculous but I personally did not spend a ton of money and I got to spend the day with my boys and that can never be a bad thing.

And as a bonus they got to watch the fire department drop huge pumpkins from the ladder truck behind the pub while I got us some sandwiches.
