Winter Goals2016 I set goals for the year, still working on those. Writing about goals and posting them has helped me keep myself accountable and served as a helpful reminder of the things I want to accomplish. Lord knows I have lots of goals. My goals have goals. Fall got here late and likely will be over quick thanks to the drought we have had. 100+ days of 90+ degrees has left me with quite the disdain for Summer. I am not having the love affair for fall that I usually have. I am not proud of it but I have not even decorated the house for fall, let alone Halloween. Labor Day weekend I usually have my nightmare before Christmas tree up and all my craft pumpkins I have carved and decorated for years scattered about. I have not even set but one Boney Bunch out. I have heard rumors too that Yankee candle is discontinuing them after this year. I hope that is not true. The worst part of all this is I actually re-organized my time and planned many fall and Halloween activities yet I am just not feeling the Fall joy I normally do. The Summer heat robbed me of my Autumn splendor. By the time I snap out of this it will be Winter. I like Winter. I miss having a real Winter. This year I am going to make Winter goals. Let's see if I shake off the Summer blues enough to do these things. 1. Go ice skating outside 2. Make a Gingerbread House 3. Attend ( and hopefully be in ) the Atlanta Christmas Parade 4. Run the 15k Hot Chocolate 5. Run under the lights at Lake Lanier Islands 6. Go see real snow! 7. Winter Kayak 8. Attend/organize a cookie exchange 9. Make Christmas Cards 10. Clean my Chimney
I'll let ya know how I do in the Spring.
