Tip- We left White Mountain at 5 AM and still had to park down to the overlook as the Logan Pass visitor center parking lot was already packed full. The problem with timed entry is that everyone needs to get inside the park and where they are going before 6 am because those that do not have a timed entry pass for going to the sun road can enter before that time and they do...in droves.
The bonus was since we had to park elsewhere we ran into this mountain goat!
These guys are my favorite type of goat (aside from mine of course). They defy the odds with both the cold and the climbing.
First up was hidden lake trail. Unfortunately we could not hike down to the lake due to heavy Grizzly bears in the area but we were able to go to the overlook and we took a side hike along the continental divide.
These Marmots were everywhere on this trail.
This trail was something out of the Sound of Music. So many wildflowers and scenic vistas. Worth it for this trail alone.
