29 Rooms from Refinery 29 is an installation that invites attendees to explore and interact with each other and the environment, located in the new Works Atlanta studio space. The website said there was no parking so we Ubered there only to find out there was plenty of free parking.

This was a little different than some of the other pop-up art rooms which seems to be designed for the 'gram. They really encouraged you to step out of your comfort zone and interact with strangers. The first room we went in was full of tables with 2 chairs with a stack of cards on them. My friend and I sat down and once the room filled up they closed the door and informed us that one person from each table needed to stand up and wave goodbye to their friend and switch with a stranger. We then spent the next 10 minutes meditating, staring at each other for 30 seconds without speaking and then asking questions from the card stack. It was super uncomfortable at first but then it was really cool.

Below was also a room where you got to read a strangers palm and they read yours through a curtain in the wall.  There were rooms to paint, rooms to dance and even an escape room.

I think I may be getting burned out on the "room" things. This was more about the people than the art and I appreciated that.
