This was a big check off my hiking bucketlist. It is an 8 mile hike and I heard it was a little tough so it took a while to get around to actually doing this one. Now it will go down as one of my all time favorites! The best waterfall I have seen in North Georgia. I am dreaming of camping here.

Know before you go:

• Allow yourself plenty of time. At least 6 hours to enjoy the hike and swimming at the falls.
• Parking is $4 but if it is full you can park for free along the road.
• It is a popular trail so be mindful, there are tight spots so patience is key.
• I would not bring small children. The trail doesn't have huge elevation gains but it is very narrow and full of roots. Closer to the falls is treacherous.
• Bring PLENTY of water and snacks.
• Wear a swimsuit or dryfit clothing and I highly recommend an extra pair of socks. You will cross creeks.
