We wandered out of the infamous "wedge" and found sunshine and 75 degree weather. Those unfamiliar with Georgia climate, the "wedge" AKA Cold Air Damming occurs when cold air becomes entrenched along the eastern slopes of mountain ranges. It happens all over the world, I just so happen to live in this weather pattern. This state park happens to be outside of the wedge and it was like someone switched on a light. It was gorgeous. I felt like a bear coming out of hibernation.
I love finding patterns and shapes in nature. It has become a reoccurring theme during my hikes. Can you spot the face in the rocks? Hoping to get quite a few more hikes in during the next few weeks.
