It has been a while since I posted a film Friday. I finally caved and bought a Polariod One Step 2 after seeing the consistent quality of Kaylah's Pictures from her adventures. My biggest problem is when I bring it with me and I forget how many I have left in the camera and then it's empty :(

Every year my dear Greek friend and I pick a day during the fall to leaf peep up in the Mountains. This year we put his 4 wheel drive to the test and traveled down long dirt roads and steep inclines to explore one new-to-us swinging bridge and my second (his first) trip to the top of Bell Mountain.

First up was the Toccoa swing bridge. There are 2 ways to get here. The long dirt road followed by a short hike or the long hike off a paved road. We chose the 1st option so we could also drive the 1.5 hours further north to Bell Mtn after.

There is heavy Beaver activity in this area. This was the first time I had seen cartoon like signs of their work in progress.

After hiking this trail we hit the road to Hiawassee and the infamous Bell Mountain. If you have been reading this blog for a minute then you would remember this post about it.

If you haven't been to bell Mountain it is well worth the drive. I would combine this with Brasstown Bald to make it worth it. I also recommend a strong transmission and good tires and brakes if you go.
