We took a train from Belfast to Dublin. We had to wait a bit to get let into our Airbnb once we arrived. The apartment was located in a great area but left much to be desired as far as the shower and cleanliness was concerned. Not terrible but the bathroom was pretty awful. Nothing like knocking knees into the sink while you peed and good luck getting hot water. You either got 3rd degree burns or froze to death but we could walk everywhere in minutes and had the most fabulous little cafe at our doorsteps. Highly recommend Queen of Tarts!

Brigitte was dead set on watching the women's World Cup so she had a reservation for us at a pub that was playing the game with a clear view of the TV. It was super fun to watch the US women's team win and get cheered on in another country. The pub was Bar Rua and I had the most delicious bangers and mash ever. I literally licked my plate clean. Actually everything in Dublin was fan-freaking-tastic.

We spent our first night in Dublin attending a literary pub crawl. This was a great way to break us in. Dublin is full of pubs and history and this was a very entertaining way of getting to experience a bit of both. The pubs are incredible. The actors would tell a bit of history, a bit about some famous authors and their ties to the pub and then act out a piece of literature. We even got to tour Trinity College after hours when it was not full of tourists. That alone is worth the tour. I would have to say though my favorite part of the night was when our host cussed out the drunk woman heckling the actors outside one of the pubs. #goodtimes
