A Special Film FridayThis post is dedicated to Zero.
This was the very last picture taken of me and my dog. Our vet came to our house today and helped him cross the rainbow bridge. I thought it was hard with Zoe but losing Zero truly feels like I lost a child. There are no more animals left in the house to greet me when I come home. No one to lay beside me, no one to lick me or to tap dance across the floor. It is quiet and empty. I have cried to the point of vomiting. There will never be another dog like him.
My daughter lost her best friend. She is unconsolable. Her bed is going to be very lonely, I do not think she will even come back home tonight. My home feels like a house. I keep catching myself looking out for him. I am sure this will go on for months. I am lost. Devastated. Heartbroken. Hugs your pups tight for me and then for you. Zero, I love you my handsome boy. You sure as heck were a good looking dog. You were quirky and funny and everyone loved you. You never met a stranger and played ball and frisbee like a champ. I will never ever forget you. I wish I could have saved you. We tried everything. I could not watch you suffer. You deserve better than that. I hope you are running and jumping and getting boxed by Callie and playing tug-o-war with Zoe over the rainbow bridge. You truly will always be my first born son. Comments
