Harry and Sallie Thompson opened Piggy's Ice Cream Parlor in 1979. They along with their three sons: Todd, Michael, and Jeff. Piggy's sold ice cream and antiques. In 1993 the restaurant opened. Four months later, Harry died suddenly from a heart attack. Sallie and the boys decided to name the restaurant after him. Today Harry's Grill and Piggy's Ice Cream Parlor are still open.

We arrived too early on a Sunday and did not have a chance to sample any food or peak inside at the antiques but the outside satisfied my love of roadside attractions.

The antique store had a gem from my childhood, Officer Big Mac!

Many other whimsical finds abounded!
