Bubble Run

It was time for another family and friend fun 5k. This was we have been planning for months.

And this wasn't even all of us.

The Bubble Run was at Lake Lanier Islands and it was a perfect day. A little overcast ending up as sunny mild fall weather. I much prefer the gimmick of bubbles to the cornstarch color runs. These races are perfect to do in groups with kids. They are not timed and no one is really competing for anything, just having fun.

The pro's:

The course was great, love running through Lake Lanier and it was only $20. Felt like they did a good job with the bubbles.

The con's:

Make you pay the $10 to park inside the islands. The traffic back up to get inside was terrible. The packet pick up was extremely inconvenient. Should not have ended the race on the beach. Was a mud pit with the bubbles and everyone's wet shoes and clothes.

I feel pretty lucky to be able to do these things with my husband and both kids. Running races is something I never saw myself doing. Running races with my family is something I hold very close to my heart. I hope they look back one day and love these memories as much as I have loved making them.
