Bad Debt HospitalA friend of mine bought a 100+ year old mansion in the rural Georgia. On my way to visit her open house (another post) I wandered around the forgotten town of Sparta, GA.
Located nearby was an abandoned hospital. Hancock County Hospital in Sparta, Ga., earned the nickname "bad debt hospital" after first shutting down from unmanageable debt in 1974 and then again in 2001.
It was like some sort of disaster happened and everyone just walked out one day. Equipment, furniture, files, still everywhere.
The electricity was still on in parts of the building.
This was by far the best place I have ever explored. Save
