Hemlock FallsJohn Muir
Hemlock Falls trail is by far one of the prettiest hikes start to finish I have ever done. It is a little tricky to find. The parking for the trailhead is located across the street from the Lake Burton Fish Hatchery and the entrance to Moccasin Creek State Park by the campground.
You follow Moccasin Creek upstream over lots of boulders and pretty scenery. The forest is covered in ferns and rhododendron. There is a small wooden bridge with a small waterfall.
 
There is another set of falls after the bridge before the main falls.
Bring a bathing suit or a the very least some good hiking sandals. The falls is an excellent spot to wade in the water.
There are several places to climb down toward the creek. Be careful. The rocks are very slippery. This is a fairly popular place. We lucked out we we arrived. There was an entire family reunion wrapping up just before we got to the end so all the kids and people were huddled up drying off and packing up. For a brief period we had the entire place to ourselves.
