It has been years since I have visited this popular (too popular now) abandoned prison farm. The place has burned down several times since the last time I was here. It used to be a lot harder to get into. Now you can just pull right in and right up. There were several cars and even small kids (11 maybe?) running around exploring and taking pictures. That was a bummer, but my daughter had never been and Lori came with us and told us a ghost story that left chills (literally we felt a cold shift in the air in the spot).

You would hardly know you are in East Atlanta by looking at the property. The Atlanta Zoo has buried some if it's animals out in these woods.

You can REALLY see the extent of the change if you look at the above picture and compare it to this one from 5 or so years ago.

That room was pitch black and there was a hideous sound coming out of there (which we figured out was something dripping onto the tarp ) Seriously y'all does this not look like a murder scene? We had no desire to investigate since we had no flashlights, it was dark and this was found AFTER we were told the ghost story. I feel like Dexter may have used this room and left all his fun plastic and blood spatter behind.

I did not linger long near the standing water for fear of contracting Zika from all the mosquitoes.

There used to be some top notch graffiti adorning these walls, now, not so much.

There was a lot various people taking pictures, doing photo shoots and generally exploring this day but in the past the police have had a heavy presence and have no problem issuing tickets at the very least.
