Or maybe a Quarter.
I had time constraints for vacationing due to the Georgia Milestones Testing beginning the day after the race and not a lot of unscheduled paid vacation time left. Also, knowing I had a long way to run at zero-dark-thirty made it easy to take it easy. We booked the All-Star Movies resort for 3 nights. I have only stayed at Disney World on site once before and that was 10 years ago at Pop Century. There wasn't anything really fancy about this hotel but it was clean and my son loved it. I loved the price.
I like that Disney lets you make requests for your room. I requested being close to transportation. The is the beauty of Disney, I never got in my car again all weekend.
We stayed in the Dalmatian portion and it was close to both pools and the main building.
The Mighty Ducks section had a pool and was less crowded than the Fantasia Pool but not as pretty. Still neat in it's own right.
The Fantasia pool was where we spent most of our time Friday and Saturday afternoon. It was s bit chilly and overcast Friday and Saturday was windy but warmer and sunny. Due to the weather both days the nightly movies by the pool were moved indoors. We did not watch Friday but Saturday we caught the beginning of The Force Awakens. This is the second time I got choked up over Star Wars. #nerd
My son made a ton of friends at the pool. He played until he was blue and his teeth were chattering.
This pool also had other entertainment. There was trivia, a scavenger hunt and some games for both kids and adults to play.
We also played in the arcade and ate a couple of meals in the food court. The turkey sandwich was delicious. We also had to sample a cupcake.
Our room was clean and close to everything, the food was good, the pool was outstanding. For the $$$...Thumbs up.
I will save the rest of what we did at DW for another post.
