Geocaching is something that sounds interesting but then was intimidating once I actually looked into it.

I finally popped my cache-cherry.

My son and I spent the better part of a day catching up on some Arrow of Light requirements. One of the things we were missing was to geocache. Our pack went on a camp out and did this but we missed that trip and I have been trying to make it happen ever since.

We downloaded the app and found a cache at a nearby park. I let my little guy do most of the work.

I was not wearing the right shoes for where we needed to go.

This was located no where near the path and a creek needed to be crossed.

I tried to get a way with not having to venture into the woods too much but I ended up slipping and sliding down a leave covered hill to try to help.

We searched and searched and we had to have found the right spot but we never did find the cache.

We found our own treasures instead. Better luck next time I guess!

*note my shoes...not up to hiking through heavy woods and creeks but I did it anyway.
