My step-father lost his battle with Cancer 2 months ago.

My mother has never been alone.

The holidays were very strange this year.

We begin on Dec. 16 with my Dad's birthday, then Dec.19 for my daughter, Dec. 21 is our Yule Log Winter Celebration, Dec. 24 was my Mom's anniversary, Christmas, New Years, my nephew's birthday is Jan 4, my son's birthday is Jan 5, even Zero's birthday is Jan 16. By the time we get to Shane's birthday (my husband) on Jan 17, we are broke and tired.

This last year was especially difficult in a million ways

I decided by the time we got to Shane's birthday we needed a break.

We stayed at Bella B&B

They gave us this awesome Cheese Plate to go with us to visit Boutier Winery which was behind them

Shane spotted this this, we have no idea what it is. Shane even took some pictures with my camera I took more with my phone than the big guns. We hiked and picnicked It was refreshing for both of us.
