Tinker Crate

My son received a subscription to Tinker Crate for his 12th birthday. They contain a STEM based craft project that comes once a month. So far we have made a battery operated spin art machine,  a battery operated planetarium projector, 3 battery operated paper lanterns and the latest one is a hydraulic claw.

These kits are a fantastic way to spend time creating and learning with your child. It is learning that doesn't feel forced. It is not just another game or toy that will sit on the shelf and collect dust. There is a sense of accomplishment and pride with each one of these projects. I highly recommend if you have a kid or know a kid, this is an excellent gift.

When you open the box it came seem a bit overwhelming. There are a lot of parts. Once you look at the instructions you will see they do an awesome job of breaking it down into easy step by step instructions with diagrams. Once you are finished there is usually other pieces and ideas for more projects you can create with the same tools and kit. All the batteries are included and there is usually plenty of extra parts, just in case.

I am in no way being compensated for this endorsement. I just think these kits are fun and wanted to share a little about them for other parents to see.
