Dragon Con 2017
We hustled downtown to meet up with friends in order to secure a good spot to view the annual Labor Day Dragon Con parade. It has been a few years since I have been able to make it down and it has grown into a mega-extravaganza. I knew if we didn't hit the train station by 8 we might as well stay home. Dragon Con is one of the best things about Atlanta.
Kids and adults alike a dressed in the finest cosplay you will find anywhere.
Growing up I was not a huge super hero and comics kid. I was into Star Wars, Scooby Doo and G-Force. Later came Edgar Allen Poe, anything Vincent Price, medieval and Anne Rice novels and all things George A Romero. I guess it makes sense that now having a little boy and discovering the whole Marvel & DC world I have grown to love it. Dragon Con is my Jam. It is all my loves, new and old rolled up into once crazy weekend.
That sign attracted much attention from the parade participants.
This one only Dragon Con people would get. When the Marriott replaced it's carpet...well let's just say some people were not happy about it.
There is something for everyone in this parade. I have been coming for more than 10 years and it never gets old.
to end the parade... Santa Claus
